, the Rule Engine for the JavaTM
|What is Salience?
Salience is an intrinsic rule property that specifies a rule's priority relative
to all other rules. The default salience for all rules is zero. Setting a
rule's salience to a large positive value will give that rule a higher priority
above all rules of lesser salience. Likewise, giving a rule a large negative
value will demote it in priority below all rules of greater salience.
